  • La Madonna Della Lettera is a 20 ft high golden statue on a tall pedestal that watches over the main harbor of Messina on the island of Sicily in Italy. The Latin inscription translates to "We Bless You And Your City".
  • The ruins of the ancient Roman theatre, or Teatro Antico, in Taormina, Italy still stand and the main walls, or edificio sceneo, are still in good condition. The theater is still used for modern performances.
