  • An abstract pattern taken from a piece of driftwood on San Juan Island. In black and white, the swirls from the wood grain are most apparent.
  • Weathered old yellow shingles on an outside wall of a house form an abstract pattern.
  • An old, weathered wall of plywood covered in peeling paint and remnants of old flyers that had been stapled on and then ripped off.
  • A pattern created from the exterior wall of a fireplace made of rounded rocks from an old river bed.
  • A stack of wood logs that have been split into firewood. Many of the logs show the growth rings as well as the tree bark.
