  • A building under construction in Hong Kong is framed with bambo scaffolding. Two men are visible in the center of the image, dwarfed by the size of the project.
  • A simple architectural abstract based on the interplay between a white stucco wall with a few cracks, a deep blue sky, and a bright red umbrella.
  • A broken window, with cracks radiating from the shattered hole in the center, in a high school in a South Africa township near Cape Town symbolizes a future life with little or no hope.
  • The outline of a man, at sunset, exiting through the iron bars into the prison yard of a jail in South Africa.

  • The entrance door to the cells in Block A at the Theresienstadt concentration camp in what is now the Czech Republic. The dark black opening, framed by red bricks, is an ominous sign of what took place behind the door.
